Doing Loop D Loops

After many months of coveting the Teva Durham book "Loop D Loop," I went to Silver Creek Cabin and bought the book. It is such an AWESOME knitting book-chez punk! I've began the Leaves and Lace sweater with some really nice Alpaca yarn in 1970 something pea green. Teva calls for something a bit more asparagus colored and I've heard from some reviews online, about more scratchy than what I'm substituting. I'm using a bulky yarn from Misty Alpaca. It is soooo soft. I really like this pattern so far because it uses some new (for me) techniques. It uses a twisted stitch, where you knit or purl into the back of the stitch and you get to knit most of the sweater in the round, and then graft it together. Can we say NO SEWING (well, just a little sewing...) this also makes me very excited.
Y'all should check our her website www.loopdloop.com her stuff is way too cool.
Ciao.
I'll post some pics of the SIP (Sweater in Progress) when I can.
